I hate this promotion. Like, I effing haaaate it.
You know theres something completely bass ackwards about it when its something that most Canucks Fans actually agree with me about.
I actually thought that the ridiculous amount that I hate the whole 7th man thing would be a good indication of how much people on the CDC forums would somehow love the idea…because thats how it normally works. So imagine my shock when I started reading some of this awesomeness:

As you know we love to troll the local Canucks message boards for some of the amazingly awesometastic quotes from the notoriously ill-informed and overzealous Vancouver Canucks fans out there.
It’s truly is remarkable, especially considering how Canucks fans are known world as probably the most fickle and delerious sports fans on the planet.
Lets start with a link to a guy that was apparently a HUGE fan of GM Mike Gilles in the offseason, and I guess he was defending some of his awesome moves. And now, since the Canucks have won a single game of an 82 game season, he is demanding apologies for everybody who ever said anything bad about Gilles ever:

Man, it’s like this stuff just writes itself. Well, in fact I guess it does. I’m just continuosly amazed at how easy it is too find complete hilarity in the Canucks community.
I look for sweet quotes to post here every day, and it quickly becomes the most entertaining AND easy part of my job. It’s an endless supply of Canuck-tastic gold!
I implore you to just spend 5 minutes lurking around the Canucks.com message board and you will be enlightened.
Here are a few gems….just from today! It’s enough to make our first ever Canuck Quote-a-Palooza!

Most of my daily entertainment is found in the Canucks.com forums. You can literally spend hours reading a myriad of ridiculous rumors, predictions, smacktalk and retardom….and as I perused these magical pages of stupidity, I was blessed enough to stumble upon one of the single worst threads in the history of the interweb, regarding the safety and utter confusion around how Canucks players somehow manage to get home after games:
A few highlights:

and the classic:

Well we’re famous. Somebody posted our Hey Pavol, Welcome to Vancouver article on the Canucks.com forums…and we sure stirred up alot of amazing commentary on the subject of Vancouver. Inlcuding this sweet number from forum person “looselips”.
Well, I guess commentary is the wrong word really…considering that nobody actually disputed anything we said, they were just a bit insulted…like we hit a sore spot or some thing.
